This is here because there were many requests for it.

I am still not using it to compile Slackware packages, and probably will not
until it's recommended as the kernel compiler as well.

If you use this, Slackware will not support you if you run into problems.

Be aware that all C++ based shared libraries will need recompiling to work with
gcc-3.
