This package (openmotif-2.2.2-i486-1.tgz), is Open Motif 2.2.2 compiled for
Slackware.


INSTALLATION:

Slackware's Open Motif and LessTif packages should not be installed at the same
time (though it may be possible to make them work together if you compile them
both from source and put them in different locations). So before you begin,
remove lesstif from your system:

removepkg lesstif

Then, install the Open Motif package:

installpkg openmotif-2.2.2-i486-1.tgz

Open Motif will now be installed.


IMPORTANT UNINSTALLATION NOTES:

The Open Motif package will overwrite several X Window System files with its own
versions. Therefore, to remove it you must follow these steps:

Remove the Open Motif package:

removepkg openmotif

Then, you'll need to reinstall these packages from Slackware's slackware/x
directory:

installpkg xfree86-4.3.0-i486-4.tgz
installpkg xfree86-devel-4.3.0-i486-2.tgz

And, if desired, this package in slackware/l:

installpkg lesstif-0.93.49-i486-1.tgz
