Do not install this package unless you are using DRI with
a Radeon card and are experiencing hangs. It is a fix, but
not a perfect one. Some cards (especially of the Mobility
type) have no problems without this patch but do if it is
installed. Most ATI cards work with the vanilla driver.

Hopefully after Slackware 11.0 when we move to the modular X11
release the need for this alternate package will be a thing of
the past. Meanwhile, it is hoped that this might be helpful
to someone out there.

To install, just use installpkg. To remove, first use
removepkg, and then reinstall the base X11 package.
