CPAN: Comprehensive Perl Archive Network

Welcome to CPAN! Here you will find All Things Perl.

CPAN is the Comprehensive Perl Archive Network. Comprehensive: the aim
is to contain all the Perl material you will need. Archive: 600
megabytes as of December 1998. Network: CPAN is mirrored at almost one
hundred sites around the world. The CPAN Multiplexor can either
automatically select a site (hopefully) close to you or you can select
a site manually. From then on, your CPAN requests will go to the
selected site (your browser will remember the selection). The
automatic selection is especially nifty outside United States because
for example all requests coming from .fr sites will be multiplexed to
the French CPAN sites, instead of going to USA.
